On July 1, 1980 Bernard D. Pearl, an honors graduate of Rutgers University Law School, established a law firm to primarily handle personal injury cases from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives.  Edward S. Levy, a magna cum laude graduate of Syracuse University Law School, joined him in 1983.  Carmen V. Cicalese, a 1987 graduate of Seton Hall University Law School, joined the firm in 1989.  The law partnership of Pearl Levy Cicalese was formed in 1997.
